Hey. I’m Lauren aka Lo.

Talking about myself doesn’t come as naturally to me as being behind my lens. But here we go...

Being a 9 on the enneagram scale, I am the peacemaker. I am usually one of the quieter voices in the room, who steps back, and watches things as they unfold. I see the moments that are hidden but heartfelt.

I have found myself in motherhood and my three boys are my inspiration. We roll in the dirt and aren’t afraid of lifes messes. In fact, we thrive in them and pursue them as adventure. I challenge myself to find the pockets of joy hidden in the sometimes monotony of motherhood, and capture them to inspire others to find magic in the simplicity of every day moments.

I love the warmth of the sun on my face and wind in my hair. I see the world through gold colored glasses and long for the mountains and the sea.

And I really wish Ash would stop telling people that we are baby shooters.

I totally ignore long paragraphs of words and I assume everyone else does too. So heres what you need to know about me-

If it’s raining, we are going to go outside.
I experience the world through colors and feelings. Words are not my thing, It is extremely difficult for me to explain how I feel about things via words. I would much rather dance my happiness, or paint my house black when I am sad, than actually try to describe it verbally.
Because of my tense relationship with words, If it wasn’t for Lauren, the workshop would be called “How to Shoot Babies”.

But In all Seriousness, I love birth. I love empowering women and making them feel beautiful when they feel broken and exhausted. I believe as Birth Photographers we are in a unique position and have the power to create some of the biggest changes in how society views women and birth.
